PSM is proud to present an evening hosted by Moonlight Lounge coinciding with the finnisage of Thomas Chapman’s solo show Glisten.
Playing with the references to sound-making and absorption that Chapman incorporates in his exhibition, Moonlight Lounge presents a one night show with concerts and a video program projected in overlapping sequences on the walls and the pieces on display:
Nikolaus Suchentrunk works with appropriation of existing material and platforms. In his video pitcam (2007), he utilizes the inbuilt editor of the classic computer game Unreal tournament to stage a virtual performance.
Thomas Chapman shows old and recent video works during a live performance of Glisten - the EP recorded for the show in the Sound Absorber Suite sculpture centerpiece in the exhibition by 3 TONE DORSAL FIN (Thomas Chapman and Nora Lune).
PRE-Be-UN plays a concert and gives a taste of his new album Clean Spasms - a genre hybrid with the elements of hip hop, soul, and collage psych-rock.
Utilizing the built in record studio and speaker system in Sound Absorber Suite the evening ends with an “open mini-jack” set where everybody is welcome to bring and plug-in their own tracks, instruments and iPods for a bona fide summer party feel.
Cheap bar and music all nite Moonlight Lounge is a series of one-evening presentations hosted by Anna Frost and Christian Falsnaes.
